Ozark is a city located in Christian County, Missouri. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 9,665. It is the county seat of Christian CountyTemplate:GR.
The city is home to the Springfield Ozark Mountain Ducks, a Central Baseball League Minor league baseball team.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 19.6 km² (7.6 mi²). 19.6 km² (7.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.40% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 9,665 people, 3,635 households, and 2,599 families residing in the city. The population density is 494.3/km² (1,280.8/mi²). There are 3,853 housing units at an average density of 197.0/km² (510.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 96.36% White, 0.33% African American, 0.71% Native American, 0.30% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 0.59% from other races, and 1.63% from two or more races. 1.70% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 3,635 households out of which 40.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.2% are married couples living together, 12.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.5% are non-families. 23.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.57 and the average family size is 3.04.
