South Fallsburg is a hamlet (and census-designated place) located in Sullivan County, New York, USA. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 2,061.
South Fallsburg is located in the Town of Fallsburg on Route 41.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 15.9 km² (6.1 mi²). 15.5 km² (6.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.4 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.28% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 2,061 people, 670 households, and 424 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 132.6/km² (343.7/mi²). There are 1,181 housing units at an average density of 76.0/km² (197.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 73.61% White, 17.95% African American, 0.34% Native American, 1.02% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 4.46% from other races, and 2.52% from two or more races. 14.80% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 670 households out of which 35.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.4% are married couples living together, 17.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 36.6% are non-families. 29.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.80 and the average family size is 3.58.
