WWF/WWE career

Garland began his WWF (now the WWE) career under the name of Scott Taylor. He would later team up with "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher to form the tag team of "Too Much." Originally unnamed, the duo teamed regularly on the promotion's syndicated Saturday wrestling shows with Taylor playing the straight man to Christopher's over-the-top, egotistical antics. Soon Garland adopted Christopher's flamboyant actions and in-ring mannerisms and became known as "Too Hot" Scott Taylor. The team found little success as "Too Much", but gained some measure of attention for their ambiguously homosexual gimmick.

After a while they changed their names to "Scotty 2 Hotty" and "Grand Master Sexay" and called themselves Too Cool - making their official debut by interfering in a match during an edition of Sunday Night Heat. The team's gimmick was originally that of hip hop posers, but they began to be popular with fans and they were later joined by Rikishi. The group split after Brian Lawler was released.

Taylor eventually teamed back up with Rikishi and won the WWE Tag Team Championship on the WWE's SmackDown! Brand. Since losing the Championship and after Rikishi's release from the WWE, Scott Garland has become a major player in the promotion's cruiserweight division.
