Scott "Maxwell" Cain, or Scott Cain is the winner of the Australian Popstars 3 in 2002.
He first entered the charts by singing on the Superstition single, which featured the Final 7 of Popstars 3 singing different versions/genres/styles/covers of the song Superstition, originally by Stevie Wonder (the single peaked at #7 on the Australian ARIAnet Singles Chart). His first official/solo single I'm Moving On then debuted at #1 in the same year. However his next single Crazy People Rock was much less successful, peaking only at #39, and his album Controlled Folly was only a minor top 40 album on the ARIAnet Albums Chart, peaking at #36.
After the flop of his music, he has since been on the AMTV show on The Disney Channel. Scott signed a recording contract with ABC Music on May 2004 which led to the release of his second album titled Rollercoaster which was aimed towards the children market. The first single to be lifted from the album was titled 'Hilary Duff' of which a video was shot and released in October 2004. The song wasn't released a single itself but rather promotion for the album.
In October 2004, Scott Cain supported pop sensation Hilary Duff on her national Australian tour.
