Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,590 people, 415 households, and 385 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 55.5/km² (143.7/mi²). There are 439 housing units at an average density of 15.3/km² (39.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 62.33% White, 0.50% Black or African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.13% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 34.09% from other races, and 2.96% from two or more races. 85.03% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 415 households out of which 68.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 80.0% are married couples living together, 8.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 7.0% are non-families. 5.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 1.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.83 and the average family size is 3.96.
