Ray Whitney is a politician in the United Kingdom. He served as a Conservative Party member of Parliament for Wycombe from 1978 to 1979 and then from 1983 to 2001, when he stepped down and was replaced by Paul Goodman. Template:UK-politician-stub --- The other Ray Whitney is a hockey player, born on May 8, 1972 in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. He has played for many teams in many leagues in 14 short years. He has played in the WHL, International Leagues, NHL, IHL and the AHL. He was chosen by the San Jose Sharks in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft, 1st in the 2nd round (32 overall). In the NHL he played for San Jose, along with the Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, Columbus Blue Jackets and the Detroit Red Wings.
