Ptah-Seker-Osiris
|
In Egyptian mythology, Ptah-Seker-Osiris was a popular god worshippped during the Middle Kingdom. He was an amalgamation of Ptah, Seker and Osiris, being derived from the earlier Ptah-Seker.
The amalgamation was caused when Ptah-Seker, the god of re-incarnation, became regarded as the personification of the sun during the night, (since it appears to have been re-incarnated during each night). As such, Ptah-Seker became both an aspect of the sun, and an underworld deity, like Osiris. ca:Ptah-Seker-Osiris fr:SokarTemplate:Myth-stub
