Pomare IV

Aimatta Pomare IV Vahine-o-Punuateraitua (otherwise known as Aimata or simply as Pomare IV) (February 28th 1813 - September 17th 1877) was the queen of Tahiti between 1827 and 1877. She succeede as ruler of Tahiti after the death of her brother Pomare III ruled under the French administration from 1843 until 1847. She was the daughter of Pomare II. She succeeded in reuniting Ra'iatea and Bora Bora into the kingdom of Tahiti.
She is Buried in the Royal Mausoleum, Papa'oa, Arue.
