Otis Orchards-East Farms is a census-designated place in Spokane County, Washington, near the county's border with Idaho. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 6,318. The CDP includes the rural communities of Otis Orchards and East Farms.
Otis Orchards-East Farms is north of the Spokane River from Liberty Lake, Washington and west of Rathdrum, Idaho and Stateline, Idaho. Part of Otis Orchards was recently incorporated into the new City of Spokane Valley, Washington.

Geography
The Otis Orchards-East Farms CDP is centered at 47°42'17" North, 117°4'48" West (47.704799, -117.079874)Template:GR.According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 21.1 km² (8.1 mi²). 20.8 km² (8.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.23% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 6,318 people, 2,110 households, and 1,742 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 303.0/km² (784.8/mi²). There are 2,187 housing units at an average density of 104.9/km² (271.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 95.11% White, 1.22% Native American, 1.16% Asian, 0.17% African American, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.51% from other races, and 1.79% from two or more races. 1.95% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 2,110 households out of which 43.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.4% are married couples living together, 10.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 17.4% are non-families. 13.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.99 and the average family size is 3.27.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 31.7% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 31.8% from 25 to 44, 23.5% from 45 to 64, and 6.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 100.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 99.4 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP is $46,946, and the median income for a family is $50,457. Males have a median income of $35,926 versus $24,430 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $17,439. 4.2% of the population and 2.6% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 3.0% of those under the age of 18 and 14.1% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
