The Olympiaturm in Munich has an overall height of 289.53 meters and a weight of 52,500 tons. At 190 meters height is an observation platform. The attendance of the TV tower is liable to pay the costs. Since its opening 1968 the tower has registered over 35 million visitors (as of 2004). At 182 meters height is a turning restaurant with 230 seats. A full revolution takes 53 minutes at medium speed. The tower has one post office elevator with a speed of 4 m/s, as well as two visitor elevators with a speed of 7 m/s and holds about 30 people per cab. The travel time is about 30 seconds. The tower is daily opened at 9:00 o'clock to 24:00 o'clock (last ramp 23:30 o'clock). The tower at the olympia stadium Helsinki is also called Olympia Tower.
