Atmosphere
Olive Garden restaurants generally have a traditional Italian atmosphere, utilizing wine bottles, bright colors, and foliage in their decorating style. Music with an "Italian" theme is played in the background, typically standards such as "That's Amore" and "Volare," as performed by members of the Rat Pack and others of that era.
Food
One signature item of the Olive Garden are breadsticks, which are served to patrons with their meals. In addition, a variety of entrées and appetizers are offered, cooked in the Italian style. Most meals are served with a choice of soup or salad. Three soup choices are generally available, including minestrone and pasta e fagioli. The large house salad is brought to table with serving utensils, allowing guests to portion it out among themselves. It generally contains lettuce, tomato, olives, hot peppers and croutons, and is served dressed with a vinaigrette.
