Game Boy Color

Mario Golf is a sports video game that was developed by Camelot Software Planning (known for the successful PlayStation title Hot Shots Golf) and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color and released in 1999. In Japan, the Nintendo 64 version is known as Mario Golf 64 (マリオゴルフ64), and the Game Boy Color version is known as Mario Golf GB (マリオゴルフGB). In the game, Mario, his friends, and his enemies play golf.

Each version of Mario Golf has its own respective sequel: the Nintendo 64 version's is Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, released for the GameCube in 2003, and the Game Boy Color version's is Mario Golf: Advance Tour, released for the Game Boy Advance in 2004.

There are an additional four characters that can be acquired by importing them via the Game Boy link cable if the owner has both Mario Golf for the Nintendo 64 and Mario Golf for the Game Boy.
