Marián Hossa, #18 (born January 12 1979, in Stara Lubovna, Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia)) is a professional ice hockey right winger in the NHL, playing for the Ottawa Senators. Hossa is regarded as one of the top power-forwards in the league, reaching the 30-goal plateau on multiple occasions, and hitting the 45-goal mark in 2002-2003
Hossa has played all six of his NHL seasons for Ottawa. He was drafted in 1997 by Ottawa. His best season was 2002-03 when he had 80 points. Marián has represented the Slovak national hockey team on numerous occasions including the Winter Olympics at Salt Lake City in 2002. His brother, Marcel Hossa, is a member of the Montreal Canadians.
