Mad capsule markets
|
The Mad Capsule Markets is a Japanese band which combines heavy guitars with hard programmed beats, as well as many experiments into softer electronica elements, reggae, and pop-influenced punk. Although they have released many albums in Japan, it has been their recent albums Osc-Dis (Oscillator in Distortion) and 010 which have brought them success in the West with the track Pulse from Osc-Dis being included on the soundtrack for the Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 videogame. The lyrics, while quite often so distorted you cannot hear the exact words, varies between English and Japanese, often in one song.
The band has also had their music heavily featured in trailers on popular anime trailers released by Manga.
The band consists of (as of their 2001 release, 010) Kyono (vocals), Takeshi Ueda (Bass, Synthesiser, programming, vocal) Motokatsu Miyagami (Drums, Programming)and Toru XXX (support guitar, non-permentant member, been with TMCM since DIGIDOGHEADLOCK in 1997, other band - Undown)
