- This article is about the village in Monmouthshire. Please see Llanelli for the town in Carmarthenshire.
Llanelly is the name of both a village and its respective parish in south-east Wales.
The village is situated on a hillside above the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal and the River Usk, roughly 4 miles west of Abergavenny. The parish is part of the administrative county of Monmouthshire and traditional county of Brecknockshire. Prior to local government reorganisation in 1996, the village used to be in the district of Blaenau Gwent, but the inhabitants overwhelmingly voted to be transferred out of it. The Brecon Beacons National Park encompasses the parish and the surrounding area.
