Limestone is a village located in Cattaraugus County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 411.
The Village of Limestone was incorporated in 1877 and lies in the south part of the Town of Carrollton.
Limestone is a village on US Route 219, and is on the east side of the Allegany State Park.
Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 4.2 km² (1.6 mi²). 4.2 km² (1.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.61% is water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 411 people, 170 households, and 109 families residing in the village. The population density is 97.4/km² (252.3/mi²). There are 188 housing units at an average density of 44.5/km² (115.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.08% White, 0.24% African American, 1.22% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.46% from two or more races. 0.73% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 170 households out of which 29.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.6% are married couples living together, 10.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.3% are non-families. 31.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.42 and the average family size is 2.93.
In the village the population is spread out with 24.6% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 29.0% from 25 to 44, 24.3% from 45 to 64, and 14.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 93.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 81.3 males.
