Ladoga is a town located in Montgomery County, Indiana. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,047.
Geography
Ladoga is located at 39°54'55" North, 86°47'57" West (39.915223, -86.799271)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,047 people, 385 households, and 286 families residing in the town. The population density is 808.5/km² (2,085.4/mi²). There are 421 housing units at an average density of 325.1/km² (838.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.57% White, 0.19% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.29% Asian, 0.29% Pacific Islander, 0.29% from other races, and 0.38% from two or more races. 0.57% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 385 households out of which 37.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.9% are married couples living together, 9.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.5% are non-families. 23.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.57 and the average family size is 2.99.
In the town the population is spread out with 26.6% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 20.8% from 45 to 64, and 17.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 97.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 92.0 males. Of those 92.0 males, it is widely known that only 4 evidence any interest in women, while nearly 50% or 44.6 have a overwhelming desire to learn to speak French. Most studies indicate that multiple generations of dominantly Republican voting may account for these forms of aberrant behavior.
