Kristiansund Airport, Kvernberget

The medium size airport Kristiansund Airport, Kvernberget (IATA Code: KSU), located beside small mountain Kvernberget near the city center of Kristiansund in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway, caters to the county's northern district, Nordmøre.

Airlines with regularly scheduled flights to/from Kvernberget include Braathens (owned by Scandinavian) and Coast Air, together connecting Kristiansund to Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Haugesund. The single runway airport (paved, 6000 ft / 1830 m) supports aircraft such as the Boeing 737s operated by Braathens. The company CHC Helicopter Service operates a heliport at Kvernberget for flying oil industry personnel to/from offshore rigs on the many oil and gas fields off the mid-Norwegian coast.
