Koadic's Endless Intellect

Koadic's Endless Intellect, more commonly known by its acronym KEI, is a spell in the EverQuest massively multiplayer online role-playing game. The casting of this spell is limited to members of the Enchanter class of level 60 and above.
In order to receive the benefit of this buff (enhancing spell), a player must have attained the minimum of level 46 for the spell to take hold.
The duration of this spell is abnormally long by contrast with many spells of a beneficial nature in EverQuest. With an Enchanter character with the right enhancements (e.g. focus items) doing the casting, this spell can last for over four hours.
The purpose of this spell is primarily to accelerate the regeneration of mana by 14 per game tick (about every six seconds). Many players have affectionately dubbed KEI "crack" or "mind-candy" due to its mana-accelerating quality, and because once used, it is hard to play the game without it. It also enhances the base Intelligence and Wisdom factors of the recipient character by 25 each; and it also increases the base size of the recipient's mana pool by 250 points.
As a consequence of this it is a buff greatly desired by characters who are dependant upon mana for the efficiency of their play time, since faster mana regeneration obviously equates to less downtime. Moreover the enhancements to Wisdom and Intelligence are of value to people seeking skillups in trade skills.
It is common to see Enchanter characters offering to cast KEI to other players for a small donation of platinum (the in-game EverQuest currency) in a central location such as the Plane of Knowledge.
With the release of new expansions more powerful versions of this spell have been made available to higher level Enchanters, but essentially have the same function.
