Kewaunee County is a county located in the state of Wisconsin. As of 2000, the population is 20,187. Its county seat is Kewaunee6.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,809 km² (1,085 mi²). 887 km² (343 mi²) of it is land and 1,921 km² (742 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 68.41% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 20,187 people, 7,623 households, and 5,549 families residing in the county. The population density is 23/km² (59/mi²). There are 8,221 housing units at an average density of 9/km² (24/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 98.56% White, 0.15% Black or African American, 0.27% Native American, 0.13% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.30% from other races, and 0.57% from two or more races. 0.76% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
