After the dot-com bubble burst, Kevin was hired as a technical production assistant for The Screen Savers. He eventually began appearing on the show, most notably in "dark tip" segments, where he provided information on unscrupulous computing activities. He sometimes filled in for the regular show hosts, and eventually became a full-time host after Leo Laporte left TechTV.
Kevin was one of only four TechTV personalities, including Adam Sessler, Morgan Webb, and Sarah Lane, to survive the massive layoffs resulting from the May 2004 merger of G4 and TechTV.
Kevin teamed up with Dan Huard to create the online videozine thebroken, which featured "questionable activities", such as password cracking and social engineering. They recently began work on another videozine, Systm, which closely resembles older technology-oriented formats of The Screen Savers.
On 2005-05-22, Kevin announced on his blog that he had been released from his contract with G4. He left the network to create Revision3 Studios and focus full-time on thebroken and Systm. 2005-05-27 marked his last day of work at G4 and final appearance on Attack of the Show.
Kevin also appears on the weekly podcast This Week in Tech along with several other former cast members of The Screen Savers.
