T

  • Tanuki - Species: Raccoon-dog yōkai. Group: InuYasha's group. Tanuki is Miroku's old friend. Like Shippo, he can use leafs to transform into the shape of a variety of objects, including humans. Possesed a young lord, captured young girls to use their souls to strengthen his power. U

Y

  • Yura of the Hair - Species: Hair comb yōkai. Group: None. It was InuYasha's first strong opponent in the series. She controlled the villagers with her hair, and caused lots of trouble to InuYasha and Kagome, even sending her hair to follow Kagome to the modern times through the bone-eaters well. Yura appeared completely invulnerable - no matter what InuYasha did to her (even tore her heart out), she wasn't affected. The reason for this turned out to be that she had hidden her soul into a comb, and the comb in turn into a red skull. Unfortunately, her hands were connected to the comb by hair strands, allowing Kagome to locate and break the comb, resulting in Yura turning to dust. It is interesting to note that Yura resembles Nabiki (from the series Ranma ½ from the same author) more than little. Yura also makes an appearance in the (porn) dōjinshi "Shio 10".

Z

  • Zushi nezumi - Species: Rat yōkai. Group: Naraku's group. These yōkai were controlled by Naraku to destroy every village in order to drag Kikyo out from her hiding place. InuYasha destroyed the magical box where the rats were coming out it with Tessaiga, and all the rats vanished.
