ISO 8859-6
|
ISO 8859-6, also known as Arabic, is an 8-bit character encoding, part of the ISO 8859 standard. It was designed originally to cover languages using the Arabic alphabet, but lacks many needed glyphs and therefore was never too popular. In recent times it is giving way to Unicode.
