Granby is a town located in Oswego County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 7,009.
The Town of Granby is in the southwest corner of the county. Granby was created in 1818 from the Town of Hannibal.

Geography
The east town line borders the Oswego River and the City of Fulton. The south town line is the border of Onondaga County, New York.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 120.4 km² (46.5 mi²). 116.3 km² (44.9 mi²) of it is land and 4.0 km² (1.6 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.36% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 7,009 people, 2,605 households, and 1,917 families residing in the town. The population density is 60.2/km² (156.0/mi²). There are 2,869 housing units at an average density of 24.7/km² (63.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.57% White, 0.54% African American, 0.46% Native American, 0.23% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.34% from other races, and 0.86% from two or more races. 1.37% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 2,605 households out of which 37.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.5% are married couples living together, 11.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.4% are non-families. 19.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.69 and the average family size is 3.07.
In the town the population is spread out with 28.3% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 30.1% from 25 to 44, 23.8% from 45 to 64, and 10.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 98.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 96.4 males.
The median income for a household in the town is $36,610, and the median income for a family is $41,127. Males have a median income of $33,390 versus $24,125 for females. The per capita income for the town is $16,826. 14.2% of the population and 11.1% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 22.6% of those under the age of 18 and 1.8% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
