Gakkentoshi Line
|
The Gakkentoshi Line (学研都市線) is a railway line between Osaka and Kizu (north of Nara), Japan, operated by the West Japan Railway Company. Its name, literally "Science City Line," comes from the Kansai Science City, which is located on the line between Osaka and Nara. The line is also known as the Katamachi Line (片町線).
The Gakkentoshi Line is connected by the JR Tozai Line to the JR Kobe Line and JR Takarazuka Line, allowing trains from Nara to operate as far west as Kobe, Himeji, and Sanda.
