G. David Schine

Gerard David Schine, known as G. David Schine (September 11, 1927 – June 19, 1996), directed special government investigations with Roy Cohn for Joseph McCarthy from 1952 to 1953; his involvement in the Army-McCarthy Hearings is depicted in the 1964 documentary film Point of Order. Schine and Cohn have long been suspected by historians and others as having had a sexual relationship during this time; however, any conclusive proof of this allegation seems to be lacking. He later became a business executive, working in the hotel, music and film industries. He was Executive Producer of the Academy Award Winning (Picture, Director, Actor and more) film The French Connection in 1971. Schine died in Burbank, California in 1996.
Tony Award winning writer Tony Kushner later wrote a one act play where he and Cohn (as well as Richard Nixon and J. Edgar Hoover) are re-united in Hell, called G. David Shine in Hell. Template:Politician-stub
