Football Writers' Association

The Football Writers' Association (FWA) is an association of English football journalists and correspondents writing for newspapers and agencies.
The FWA was founded in 1947. Current membership stands at around 400, with regional branches in the Midlands, North and North-East.
Footballer of the Year Award
The main award presented by the Football Writers Association is the Footballer of the Year Award. It is now considered to be among the two most prestigious of individual awards in domestic English football.
