ECAC Hockey League

The ECAC Hockey League is one of the six conferences that compete in NCAA Division I ice hockey. It is sponsored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference, a consortium of over 300 colleges in the eastern United States.

The ECAC Hockey League has 12 members, all of which participate in the men's conference. Eleven schools participate in the women's conference.

In 2005, Vermont will leave the ECAC Hockey League and join Hockey East. Quinnipiac will leave Atlantic Hockey (men) and College Hockey America (women) and join the ECAC Hockey League. In 2006, Rensselaer's women's team will join the ECAC Hockey League. At that time, the ECAC Hockey League will become the only Division I hockey conference with a full complement of both men's and women's teams.
