Dunsparce is a fictional, Normal-type character from the Pokémon franchise. It has a drill on its tail, wings on its sides, spikes under its mouth and it lives in caves.
Its color is yellow. In R/S games, it must trained from FR/LG games. One may catch Dunsparce with all balls that catch Pokémon.
Name Origin
The name Dunsparce may originate from the word sparce. It also may come from the word 'dunce', referring to the fact that Dunsparce is considered to be a useless Pokémon, much like Magikarp of the Red and Blue games.
Serene Grace Controversy
Many trainers question Nintendo's decision to give Dunsparce the Serene Grace ability, as they consider Dunsparce undeserving of the ability. It is understandable why legendary Jirachi, and hard-to-acquire Togetic and Blissey would have it, but the reason for Dunsparce having it remains a mystery among Pokémon trainers.
