A crotch can be any region or an object, where a trunk splits into two or more limbs. This can include branching regions of trees, buildings, diagrams, animals, etc.
In particular the crotch is the region of the human body between the legs where they join the trunk. It is the area containing the genitals. As such, it is considered one of the intimate parts.
