1981-1986
The 1981 LeBaron was based on the Chrysler K platform and was rebadged as the Dodge 400. It was available in sedan, coupe, and convertible versions. A station wagon version, dubbed the Town and Country was added as well.
1985-1989 LeBaron GTS
The 1985 LeBaron GTS was a somewhat different car than the standard LeBarons. Still based on the K-Car, the GTS (and similar Dodge Lancer) was more of a performance vehicle. Production ended in 1989
1987-1995 Coupe/Convertible
After the demise of the first-generation Lebaron in 1986, Chrysler released the new LeBaron in 1987. The new LeBaron was based upon Chrysler's FWD J platform and was available as a coupe or a convertible (which was more popular). The new LeBaron was quite stylish for its day, featuring retractable headlights. In 1993, the LeBaron's front facia was slighty redesigned (which did away with the retractable headlights) and the coupe was dropped. The convertible ended production in 1995 to make way for the new Chrysler Sebring.
1990-1995
The last Chrysler LeBaron Sedan was built on the front wheel drive A body, another K derivative, and existed as an entry-level mid-size sedan. The last LeBaron was replaced in 1995 by the "Cloud Car" Chrysler Cirrus.
