Castle Infinity is a freeware game developed by Castle Infinity, Inc., a non-profit organization. It is a MMOG for kids of all ages. It works on almost any Microsoft Windows-based computer. It also runs on Macintosh under Virtual PC, and Linux under WINE.
Castle Infinity was first released in 1996, making it the first fully released MMOG designed for children. It was originally developed by Starwave, but after the company was bought three times and eventually acquired by Disney, the game was abandoned. A few years later, Castle Infinity, Inc. was created by a C programmer, who happened to be one of the games' lead players, and the game went back into production. Unfortunately, player population has severely dwindled in the years since, leaving only a few die-hard fans.
The official language of the characters in Castle Infinity is a modification of Esperanto.
