Camas prairie

The name Camas Prairie refers to several distinct geographical areas in the Western United States which were named for the native perennial Camassia or camas.

History
The Camas Prairie in Idaho was included in the aboriginal lands of the Nez Perce peoples. They gathered quamash during the autumn to use as a food source.
