Calamvale is a suburb on the south side of Brisbane, Australia. A relatively large suburb in, it adjoins Stretton, Parkinson, Sunnybank Hills, Acacia Ridge, Algester and Drewvale. It is also very close to the Karawatha nature reserve. The rime rate is extremely low, and has a medium-high average income per household. The only schools in Calamvale are the Calamvale Community College (which combines a primary and a secondary school) and Calamvale Special School. No train stations are situated in Calamvale although Altandi and Runcorn train stations are only about a 5 minute drive away. Travel to the Brisbane CBD is roughly 30 mins (off peak) by car and 45 mins - 1 hour by bus. No skyrise buildings are even remotely close to Calamvale, however due to the differing elevations in the suburb, many parts can be regarded as high hills.Template:Australia-geo-stub
