COM LAG (2plus2isfive)
|
COM LAG (2plus2isfive) is an EP by British rock band Radiohead, first released in Japan and Australia in March 2004, and in Canada two months later. It is a compilation which collects many of the B-sides from the singles released in support of 2003's Hail to the Thief.
Its release is similiar to previous EPs - Airbag/How Am I Driving? and My Iron Lung - both released a year after the album releases of OK Computer and Pablo Honey, respectively. Unlike those though, this EP is a bit longer, and in addition to the b-sides and outtakes features remixes of some of the songs from the album, such as "I will (Los Angeles Version)", "Remyxomatosis (Cristian Vogel RMX)" and "Skttrbrain (Four Tet RMX)". Airbag and My Iron Lung are often regarded as a bridge between Radiohead's preceding and subsequent work. Whether COM LAG (2plus2isfive) will point the direction for future Radiohead releases remains to be seen.

- The original Japanese pressings of the EP have a mastering error on "Skttrbrain (Four Tet RMX)" which causes loud static to be heard in the left channel four times throughout the song. This version was recalled and the error was fixed on subsequent releases.
"Fog"
"Fog" is a relatively short song (roughly 2 min 20 s), with only the piano and Thom Yorke's voice being used. It also appears on the 2001 single "Knives Out", although this time it is mainly a bass-driven song, without the piano, and featuring some creative and original percussion. This version of the song is 4 min 5 s long.de:Com Lag
