My Iron Lung

My Iron Lung is an EP by British band Radiohead, released in 1994. It contains outtakes from the sessions from their classic 1995 album The Bends. It is perhaps best described as a bridge between the simplicity of their first album, Pablo Honey, and the depth and introspectiveness of The Bends. "My Iron Lung", the song, included Radiohead's reaction to the popularity of "Creep", their 1993 single ("this is our new song / just like the last one ..."). Even the music seems to be a response; both songs are acoustic-electric, but "My Iron Lung"'s acoustics are softer and its electrics are harder than "Creep"'s. An acoustic version of "Creep" appears at the end of the album.
In Britain, this EP was available as two singles: the first, with a blue cover, featured the title track backed by "The Trickster", "Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong", and "Lozenge of Love"; the second, with a red cover, had "Lewis (Mistreated)", "Permanent Daylight", and "You Never Wash Up..." as B-sides. "Creep (Acoustic)" (which also closed 1993's Itch EP) only appears on the EP, which itself was only available in Australia.
