Bundeena is a village on the outskirts of Sydney, Australia, within the Sutherland Shire. It is adjacent to the village of Maianbar. It lies on the south side of Port Hacking, opposite the suburb of Cronulla. Bundeena is surrounded on all land sides by the Royal National Park.
Bundeena may be accessed by a passenger ferry from Cronulla, or by car through the Royal National Park itself from Sutherland or Waterfall.
It is a picturesque suburb, but can suffer from many of the social problems normally attributed with remote rural towns, even though it is literally next to the city of Sydney.
During early colonial settlement, deer were introduced and have since become a menace to Bundeena residents. They often jump the fence and eat anything in sight.
