Bismarck Township is a township located in Presque Isle County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 408.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 181.0 km² (69.9 mi²). 175.2 km² (67.6 mi²) of it is land and 5.8 km² (2.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.19% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 408 people, 180 households, and 135 families residing in the township. The population density is 2.3/km² (6.0/mi²). There are 570 housing units at an average density of 3.3/km² (8.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 99.26% White, 0.25% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.25% from other races, and 0.25% from two or more races. 0.25% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 180 households out of which 20.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.7% are married couples living together, 4.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.0% are non-families. 20.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.23 and the average family size is 2.56.
