Beaver is a borough located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 4,775. It is the county seat of Beaver CountyTemplate:GR.
Robert Linn was the mayor of Beaver for 58 years (1946–2004), making him the longest serving mayor in the United States. Beaver is also the hometown of Survivor: All-Star winner Amber Brkich.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 2.8 km² (1.1 mi²). 2.4 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 13.89% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 4,775 people, 2,112 households, and 1,260 families residing in the borough. The population density is 1,982.4/km² (5,119.3/mi²). There are 2,297 housing units at an average density of 953.6/km² (2,462.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 96.44% White, 2.64% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.27% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.27% from other races, and 0.25% from two or more races. 0.88% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 2,112 households out of which 23.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.6% are married couples living together, 8.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 40.3% are non-families. 36.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 19.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.14 and the average family size is 2.83.
In the borough the population is spread out with 19.2% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 26.7% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 22.1% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 43 years. For every 100 females there are 91.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 88.9 males.
The median income for a household in the borough is $42,113, and the median income for a family is $57,208. Males have a median income of $43,198 versus $26,709 for females.
