Geography
The district includes all of the Avalon Peninsula, except for Bell Island, and the St. John's area. Communities include Conception Bay South (part), Bay Roberts, Carbonear, Placentia, Harbour Grace, Spaniard's Bay, Holyrood, and Upper Island Cove The area is 9,335 sq. km.
History
The electoral district was created in 2003 from 57.6% of Bonavista—Trinity—Conception, 21.9% of St. John's West 20.5% of St. John's East.
