Amazing Fantasy is a comic book series published by Marvel Comics. It began publishing under the name Amazing Adventures in 1961, then changed its name to Amazing Adult Fantasy, and finally Amazing Fantasy.
It is most famous for its final issue, #15 in 1962, which introduced the superhero Spider-Man. Though Spider-Man was immensely popular, the series had already been cancelled, and the character's adventures continued in his own title, The Amazing Spider-Man.
In 1995 a miniseries called Amazing Fantasy was published, continuing the numbering from 1962, telling a story from early in Spider-Man's career between Amazing Fantasy #15 and The Amazing Spider-Man #1.
The title was restarted in 2004, as a means of introducing new characters for a younger audience. The first six issues featured new teenager heroine, Araņa, and a new arc featuring a revamped female Scorpion is currently being published.
