Alien Ant Farm

Alien Ant Farm was formed in the USA in 1996 as a grunge and alternative metal group.

In the late 90's, the band released their underground debut album Greatest Hits. The album went on to win Best Independent Album in the L.A. Music Awards.

In 2000, after forging a friendship with rock band Papa Roach Alien Ant Farm signed with DreamWorks SKG for their first studio album ANThology and then the band began touring in 2001.

Their cover of the Michael Jackson song, "Smooth Criminal", was a #1 single in Australia and New Zealand and a #3 single in the UK. Their following single "Movies" was a Top 5 hit in the UK and a Top 20 hit in New Zealand.

In May of 2002, the band was involved in a bus accident while touring in Spain. The driver was killed, and lead singer Dryden Mitchell suffered a fractured C2 vertebrae, the same injury that crippled actor Christopher Reeve.

Finally in winter 2002, Alien Ant Farm returned to the studio to work on their next album called truANT, which was released in 2003 produced by Stone Temple Pilots' Robert and Dean DeLeo.

"These Days" was the first single from truANT and the video for the song was filmed on top of a nearby building during the Red Carpet at 2003 BET Awards. "Glow" has been a mainstream radio success, while also achieving long lasting top 20 success in New Zealand.

In 2004, guitarist Terry Corso split with the band citing "irreconcilable differences". Joe Hill was named the new guitarist in 2005. They are currently working on a new album; the name has yet to be released.
