Career
"Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright wrestled professionally in Germany and Japan before signing with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1994.
He was initially a face but quickly turning heel, he won the WCW Cruiserweight Title in 1997 from Chris Jericho, and the Television Title later that same year.
In 1998 he paired with Disco Inferno (better known as Glenn Gilberti) to form a moderately successful tag team. In 1999, after an absence, he became known as Berlyn; this gimmick served him well until 2000 when he re-paired with Disco Inferno to form The Boogie Knights. Disco was injured, however, and when WCW staged the Millennium Final show in Germany, Wright was paired with General Rection and the team won the tag-team title belt.
Wright fell out of the spotlight in 2001 and has not appeared on American television since then. He is back in Germany wrestling overseas.
Wright is a born-again Christian and had regular Bible studies with other Christians in the locker room during his WCW days.
