A Collection of Beatles' Oldies
|
Template:Album infobox A Collection of Beatles' Oldies is a compilation album featuring a selection of songs by the Beatles recorded between 1963 and 1966. This compilation was available only in the UK and was also the first Beatles' greatest hits type of compilation before the 1970 release of the Hey Jude album in the US.
The release of this album was the result of Parlophone not having any new material to release by the Beatles at the end of 1966 in the same manner of the previous three years format of two albums per year. The track "Bad Boy" had never been released by the Beatles in the United Kingdom before, but had already been released in the United States on the Capitol album, Beatles VI.
