Am I the only person who things this article quite odd? As if there were noninvented sports which existed at the Big Bang? :) Fuzheado | Talk 03:48, 12 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Seems that the original problem with this page has been cleared up, but I must say I have a problem with the inclusion of SlamBall. Doesn't the definition of an invented sport just a few paragraphs earlier -- it must be wholly invented, not an alteration of an existing sport -- preclude SlamBall, which is obviously a variant of basketball (and played entirely by basketball players)? Or perhaps SlamBall is invented and the definition is wrong -- but it's got to be one or the other.
- The definition is somewhat subjective, and there is to my knowledge no official body defining invented sport. SlamBall, however, does have elements of other games, such as gymnastics and American football, and some other athletes do take part; one team, if I recall, is notable for having a number of former college football players on it. - Scooter 22:12, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)
