Economy
The Yulee Tradeplex, a small strip mall including a Winn-Dixie, a stand-alone Lowe's, and a Super Wal-Mart form the core of Yulee's economy. There are also numerous Nassau County government buildings in the area, as Fernandina Beach has become too overcrowded to host them. Several smaller strip malls are also being built in the area, which is seeing increasingly aggressive development. An Adam & Eve Adult Novelty store, which is attempting to move into the Sleiman Shopping Center across from Lowe's, has recently caused a great deal of controversy, as Nassau is a very conservative area.
Education
Yulee is home to a middle school and the Betty Cook Center, established and run by Florida Community College at Jacksonville, which offers classes for a variety of post-secondary degrees. The Nassau County School Board has approved a measure to build Yulee High School in the area within the next few years.
