Yodha is a Malayalam language comedy film produced in India in 1992. The film was written and directed by Sangeeth Sivan and is based on The Golden Child. The soundtrack was one of A. R. Rahman's earliest works.
The movie stars the Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in a comedy role as Ashokan, who is a village fellow who is always in competition with his cousin Appukkuttan played by the comedy actor Jagathi Sreekumar. Urvashi and Madhoo, play the lead female roles. The movie goes on as Ashokan is sent to Nepal to meet his uncle as an astrologer predicts that if he stays at home, he will commit a murder. Once there, he finds that Appukuttan has already reached there claiming that he was Ashokan. There, he loses his luggage and is shunned off to streets where he is joined by the Rimpoche, the Sacred Boy of one of the monastries, who escaped from his tormentors. The evil forces try to kidnap the child, and Mohanlal is drawn into the fight.
