X-Treme Sanctions Executive

The X-Treme Sanctions Executive is a fictional paramilitary police force charged with keeping the peace between mutants and normals in the X-Men comics series.
The XSE was founded by Storm at the behest of the United Nations in order to police the growing mutant population. Though initially Storm acted alone, she soon signed up the other members of the X-Treme X-Men as officers, forming a legitimate mutant organisation (though not the first, with the second X-Factor having been government-run). Though founded in the latter issues of the X-Treme X-Men comic book, the team's adventures have transferred to Uncanny X-Men following the return of writer Chris Claremont to that book. Claremont writes and Alan Davis currently illustrates the adventures of this team.
Though certain mutants (notably Shadowcat) are shown around the team, the main membership consists of:
- Storm - Ororo Monroe
- Wolverine - Logan
- Nightcrawler - Kurt Wagner
- Cannonball - Sam Guthrie
- Bishop - Lucus Bishop
- Marvel Girl - Rachel Summers
- Magma - Amara Aquilla
After a confrontation with the Fury Cannonball took a leave of absence to recuperate from his injuries. He has since then joined the newly reformed X-Force team. Sage, meanwhile, has rejoined the Hellfire Club to keep an eye on Roberto da Costa (who has become the new Black King) to make sure he is not corrupted by power, like Sebastian Shaw.
In addition, the recently introduced female clone of Wolverine known as X-23 has recently joined the school and is rumored to be joining the XSE. She is currently roommates with Marvel Girl and Shadowcat.
With Psylocke recently resurrected, she may also join the team.
