In many styles of wrestling, opponents are matched based on weight (mass).
Weight classes in Olympic events are: (maximum weight listed)
- light flyweight, 48 kg
- flyweight, 52 kg
- bantamweight, 57 kg
- featherweight, 62 kg
- lightweight, 68 kg
- welterweight, 74 kg
- middleweight, 82 kg
- light heavyweight, 90 kg
- heavyweight, 100 kg
- super heavyweight, more than 100 kg, maximum 130 kg.
