World Bowl

The World Bowl is the championship game of NFL Europe and it's predecessor, the World League of American Football. Up to now, there have been 12 World Bowls, in 1991, 1992 and from 1995 to 2004. Frankfurt Galaxy (1995, 1999, 2003) and Berlin Thunder (2001, 2002, 2004) won three each.
The World Football League also titled it's championship game as the World Bowl. In the only WFL World Bowl contested, the Birmingham Americans defeated the Florida Blazers 22-21 on December 5, 1974.
